Sometimes I feel like my blog is about nothing, so you can see the correlation there.
Each episode of Seinfeld is special in its own way, with various formulas of humor + nuance + situational ridiculousness + personality quirks that = unbelievable outcomes.
There is one episode in particular, however, that I just do not think is that great. If I showed you a picture of this man, would you know to which episode I am referring?

Yep. It's the one where Elaine, Jerry, and George are waiting for a table in the Chinese restaurant. I just did a quick Google search and was surprised to find it was the 11th episode. I thought it was much earlier in the game.
Dada and I performed a brief but thorough analysis of why this is not our favorite episode the other night when we caught part of it. The main reason is that the show takes place in the same place. You don't have Kramer finding the set of the Merv Griffin Show, bringing it back to his apartment, setting it up, having people come in and out... or Elaine taking Frank Costanza to the nail salon so he can interpret what the manicurists are saying about her... All the action happens in the restaurant. I don't think there's enough going on, really.
This Chinese Restaurant episode...this is not my kind of episode.
I am more apt to pass on this particular episode of Seinfeld than I am any other, but not before I get to hear George deliver my favorite line of the show:

"For 50 bucks? I'd put my face in their soup and blow!"

I DO remember this episode. And you're right - not that funny. To me, the last 4 years were much better than the first four years.
