Snow Business.

It snowed in Chester County this weekend!  It was beautiful and it was the kind of snow I remember from my childhood--you know, the kind that practically forms itself into a snowball?!  I must admit I am thrilled for ER's sake that we got to see snow like that.  If I said I don't worry about there not being snows like there were when I was growing up now, for ER to enjoy, then I would be lying to you.

We got out on Saturday for a little bit and ER thoroughly enjoyed herself.    Take a look!

Love her little cheeks in this one!

Yes, another beautiful picture of my husband and me taken by...me!
Dada is forever impressed by my mastery of the "selfie."

We also had a really memorable experience with a firefighter who "came by" while we were out...I will share the picture and the story that goes with it that I shared (all over) Facebook.  I just think this is great, and it deserves to get out.  I wish I could have read the gentleman's name on the back of his coat, but I guess that just goes to show it's been used, which is good.

OK, so this is really cute. When we were outside playing/shoveling this afternoon, we smelled an overwhelming amount of natural gas. We called the township dispatch and they sent police and a couple of firefighters to our house. Of course, by the time I went back outside after I called, the smell was gone. But anyway, 2 young firefighters were checking things out and Evie said she wanted to ask the one firefighter to make a snow angel. Me, being the dream-snuffing mother that I am, told her that he was working and he couldn't make a snow angel now. Do you know what he did? He said to her, "Do you want me to make a snow angel for you?" And he laid down in the snow in our lot and made one. I ran in to get the camera to take a picture of it, and as I was coming out, the police officer pulled up to the house and ran part of it over, but the picture still came out great.
There is goodness all around us!
